Week of May 5th

Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Who even knows why we celebrate this holiday. We will know after Monday. Ask your kids.

Homework this week is simple. Write a scary story to share at the campout around the fire while we are eating smores. Turn stories into me on Thursday morning. This should be fun and does not need to be very long. The younger students can draw pictures to help them remember their stories when they tell them on Thursday night.

THE CAMPOUT IS THURSDAY! IF YOU HAVEN'T TURNED IN YOUR FORMS OR PAYMENT THEN PLEASE DO SO ON MONDAY. STUDENTS ARE FREE AND ADULTS ARE $12. EXTRA KIDS ARE $5 EACH. THANKS. If you have questions then just ask me.

Service Day is next Thursday and we need drivers and chaperones. Please sign up to volunteer for this event from 9-12 on Thursday. There will be a sit down lunch at 12:15.

Starting on Monday, May 12th we will be in Hawaii and starting to prepare for our Hawaiian Luau on Friday, May 30th. We will be having an ILP Exhibition and a trading post for the event. Not to mention the performances.

The Annual Trillium Talent Show is on Friday, May 16 at 6:30 pm. Many of your students will be involved and it is a fun event. Last year it was held in the courtyard and I anticipate the same this year.

Oh, we voted to suspend Pokemon Club until the group can create some rules for the group. The proposal passed 8-5. Please keep cards at home and encourage members to get together to solve the problems of the group's dynamics.

We have a field trip to the Rhododendrun Gardens on Tuesday, May 13 at 9:30.

Auction tickets are available at the front desk for $25. The event is this Saturday, May 10th.

Thanks,

Billy
