First Day Jitters

The first day is in the books and we are off and running. Students made self portraits today and learned a little about each other. New friendships began and old ones were renewed. We will be learning about our school this week and the community we learn in. We will be discussing our rights and responsibilities, the school constitution, learning plans, mediation and ways we can respect Trillium. We will also be setting up our class rules and learning where things are in the room.

Here is this week's HOMEWORK.

Students should write their full name, address and phone number. They should practice remembering these at home and be prepared to show they know them at school. I will be quizzing them.

Bring in a picture of your family doing something.

Spelling/Vocabulary Words - Trillium, school, rights
*Use these words in a sentence.

FORMS
If you have not turned in all the forms necessary there will be a note in your take home folders next week. We will let you know what you are missing and remind you to get in in ASAP. Also, please bring back copies of your drivers license and insurance cards if you have any possibility of driving on field trips this year. We can't let you drive other children without this information on file. Thanks!

SUPPLIES

If you have already brought in supplies then thank you. If you haven't and still need to get them I would really appreciate pocket folders in packs of 20. Instead of getting glue, tape or colored pencils I need folders and spiral journals (one subject). Also, hot glue is a hot item in our class along with popsicle sticks.

DRIVERS!!!!

We need drivers for Monday! If there is any way you can drive to the Mt. Hood Railroad just let me know or sign up on the list outside our classroom.

Thanks,

Billy
